The Visuera
method enables your business to develop and
maintain process maps in an orderly and
simple way. The method is advantageous as
the maps which are developed are easy to
read no matter how extensive, no matter how
detailed and no matter whether you are a
business person or an IT technician.
Process maps can be used to:
|
• |
Create
the basis for change throughout the
whole organization |
|
• |
Involve the whole organization |
|
• |
Specify requirements for how a new
process will work |
|
• |
Specify requirements for the IT
system included in an enterprise
process |
|
• |
Identify, visualize and calculate
the benefits |
|
• |
Manage
and publish enterprise processes |
|
• |
Implement and gain approval for new
enterprise processes |
|
• |
Train
and change the organization |
|
• |
Develop improved IT system |
|
• |
Sell
standardized IT applications |
|
• |
Develop and maintain quality
assurance systems |
The Visuera method’s framework enables you
to:
|
• |
Divide
the process map into a As-Is and a
To-Be models |
|
• |
Break
down processes into smaller, more
manageable processes |
|
• |
Name
processes, roles and flows |
|
• |
Visualize all types of flows |
|
• |
Visualize electronic registers’ data
structures |
|
• |
Visualize IT system’s user interface |
The symbols
used in the the Visuera method's maps are
the same no matter which business area they
are being used in. In the Visuera method,
for example, the symbol used for a human
role which performs an activity and the
symbol which describes an information flow
look the same, whether they are being used
in a process in healthcare or a process in
banking. This can be compared with the
symbol for a sandbank on a nautical map. The
sandbank looks the same whether it is in
Stockholm's archipelago or Gothenburg's
archipelago.
In order for you to be able navigate using
maps which cover different locations and
have different levels of detail, while, at
the same time, the map's flow remains
coherent, the method must help you to
connect the maps.
The Visuera method uses a framework which
steers how different types of maps can be
connected to form one map. You can compare
this to a nautical map's general chart which
is divided into underlying, detailed charts.
The detailed charts are connected to the
general chart and describe different areas
in much more detail than the general chart.
This is a must if you are to understand how
to navigate and to achieve a model/map which
is unambiguous.

Examples of
what the tool has to offer:

Overview of the project
The Visuera method's model is both extensive
and detailed. In order to navigate between
and keep track of all the details, the tool
has a project overview. In the overview, all
of the model's building blocks are
organized
to enable easy navigation between them.

Graphical model with benefits
The tool contains advanced functionality
which calculates and visualizes the
benefits. |
